He was predeceased by : his siblings, Jessie Almon (Mary Ruth Copeland), Janet Elaine Copeland, Amelia Josephine Copeland and Betty Ann Hannan; and his niece Maria Ramirez Engel.

He is survived by : his wife Ruby Copeland; his sister Helen Ramirez (Johnny); his nieces, Lisa Thompson, Celia Hampton (Allen) and Amy Johns; his nephew Brian Johns; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Britnee Thompson, Brooke Thompson, Lynn Scott (Jarrett), Bethany Hampton, Alli Gobbell, Brandon Bailey, Andrew Hampton, Matthew Hampton, Hunter Gobbell (Laura) and Chase Brison. He is also survived by one great great niece, and two great great nephews.
