He was predeceased by : his parents, Orville Rush and Eloise Rush; his daughter Stacey Louise Rush; and his brother Gary Rush. He is survived by : his daughter Pamela J. Rush (Barry); his siblings, Delora Jones and Murray Rush; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Autumn Beasley and Dakotah Blaize Beasley; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin Lawrence Beasley and Safiya Eloise "Sissy Sue" Beasley. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
