He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmack Allen and Versie Roddy Allen; his former wife Willie B. Green Allen; his daughters, Katherine Allen and Carolyn Sue Allen; and his siblings, Omer Allen, Joe Allen and Edna Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Smith Allen of Westmoreland; his children, Larry Allen (Kathy) of Portland, Christopher Lockwood of Westmoreland and Bobbie Sue Lockwood (Damian Jones) of Westmoreland; and his brother Charles Allen (Betty) of Arkansas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
