He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Mitchell, Sr. and Gertrude Littrell Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Sue Mitchell of Westpoint, TN; his children, Jana Mattox (Terry) of Westpoint, TN and Don Lopp (Betty) of Lawrenceburg, TN; his grandchildren, Avery of Five Points, TN, Toby of Five Points, TN and Aura Weathers of Five Points, TN; and his siblings, Jeff Mitchell of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tharon Gray of Lawrenceburg, TN and Peggy Hill of Lawrenceburg, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (231 N Military Ave, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
