We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 89, Michael Leonard Pate of Westport, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Pate and Ellis Pate; and his brother Lyndon "Buddy" Pate. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pate; his sons, Dennis (Donna), Dwayne (Brooke) and David (Allison); his grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Trisha, Juno and Ruthie; his great grandchildren, RJ, Lauren, Jenna, Emma and Nora; his great great grandchildren, Addie, Marleigh and Willow; and his brother Waylun Pate (Martha).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
