He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kyle and Mary Sue Burns (Mitchell); and his wife Karen Sue Burns. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Hayes of Westport and Cary Hayes (Monica) of Columbia; his siblings, Ann Isom of North Carolina and Jimmy Burns of Maitland; and his grandchildren, Alexis Brockington, Kyle Brockington, Chandler Hayes, Drake Hayes and Benaiah Hayes. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
