She was predeceased by : her parents, Rupert L. Carr and Lillie Opal Williams Carr; and her brother David L Carr. She is survived by : her son Norman Owens; her grandchild Zoie of White Bluff; her son Michael Gilbert of Springhill, Tennessee.; her sisters, Jo Earhart (Ron) of Blaine and Rainey Bailey (Steve) of Kingston Springs, Tennessee.; and her nephew Adrian Forkum of White Bluff, Tennessee..

Friends are asked in lieu of flowers a memorial donation be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Sissy. Donate via Pledge to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - Pledge.
