He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Clifton Cauthen, Sr. and Mary Susan Pickney Cauthen; and his brother Eddie Cauthen. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Cauthen of White Bluff; his children, David Matthew Cauthen (Amy) of White Bluff and Jennifer Dunnewold (Luke) of Maryville; his siblings, Joe Cauthen (Jayne) of Pegram, John Cauthen (Machelle) of Nashville, Mary Anne Mujica (Mario) of Fayetteville, GA and Joan Poskevich (David) of Fayetteville, GA; his grandchildren, Alice Cauthen and Judah Dunnewold; and his great grandchildren, Carmen and Adam Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
