He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin and Lula; and his brothers, Jack, Pete, Duncan, Charles, Clyde and Jim.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Earl; his daughters, Traci Humphrey (Eric) and Rhonda Lewis (Doug); his grandsons, Jimmy Humphrey and Jack Earl (Katie); his great grandchildren, Ruby and Michael; and his sister Sally Davis.

His dedication to his country was evident by the commiment he made early on in his life to serve in the military.
