He is survived by: his daughter Amy Hafer (Wesley) of Richmond, VA; and his siblings, Charles Arthur Gilbert (Barbara) of Madison, TN, Joseph Peyton Gilbert of Mechanicsville, VA and Sharon Nester of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by niece and nephew; 2 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Seven Points Campground (1810 Stewarts Ferry Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37214).
