Joe Julian Tate Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Tate and Florence Tate (Palmer); his siblings, Wynell Whitaker (Tate) and Doug Tate; and his wife Thelma Jean Tate (Biggs).

He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Jean Tate-Keith (Lisa) and Linda "Jill" Tate Martin (Ron); his grandchildren, BaileyTate Martin (Bailey), Clarissa Lee Martin (Lonnie), Chase McMillin (Caitlin), Jessie McMillin (Brian), Luke Tate-Keith and Liam Tate-Keith; and his great grandchildren, Brody Michael Britton, Brighton Rae Ledbetter, Robert Tate Martin, Banx Lee Ledbetter, Josie Kate McMillin and Wyatt Kevin McMillin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home White House (533 TN-76, White House, TN 37188). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
