He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Britt and Pearl Britt; his brothers, W. C. "Dub" Britt, Jim Britt, Roy Britt, Wayne Britt and Frank Britt; and his grandson Garrett Walker.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Elizabeth "Bebe" Walker; his grandson James "Jake" Cox (Brynnan); his son Paul Britt Jr. (Joyce); his sisters, Lorene King and Lillie "Snooks" Hutsell; and his sister-in-law Joan Britt.
In lieu of flowers Paul asked that donations be made to The Wednesday Night Meal at First Methodist Church of White Pine, TN.
