She is survived by : her husband Danny Carlton Cates; her mother Louise Wallace of Orange, TX; her children, Tommy Austin, Jr. of Somerville, TN, Chris Cates (Katelyn) of Pontotoc, MS, Vida Louise Rojas of Somerville, TN, Christy Jean Wilson (Eric) of Whiteville, TN, April Danielle Derrick (Chase) of Pontotoc, MS and Tammy Marie Bell (Tracy) of Gunnersville, AL; and her siblings, Bundy Eugene Earnest, Jr. (Gloria) of Whiteville, TN, William Harold Earnest (Rhonda) of Orange, TX, James Carol Earnest (Patty) of Orange, TX and Sylvia Louise Austin (James) of Orange, TX.. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
