He was predeceased by: his former wife Julie Escue Armstrong Henderson; his parents, William "Bill" Armstrong and Icema Ingram (Pappas Armstrong); and his grandparents, Gust Pappas, Clara Pappas (Robinson), Robert Lee Armstrong and Bessie Mae Armstrong (Parker).

He is survived by: his children, Eddie and Judy; his sisters, Shirley and Loretta; his wife Judy Armstrong; his daughter Andra Armstrong; his son-in-law Luis Valdes; his granddaughter Valentina Armstrong Valdes; his daughter Sara Holloway (Armstrong); his son-in-law Tim Holloway; his son Daniel Armstrong; his daughter-in-law Ashley Cavnar; his daughter Katherine Cotton (Chris Solano); his brother Ronnie Armstrong; his siblings-in-law, Holly, Jeff, Lori Quick, James and Brenda Quick; Charlie Hayes and David Yates.
