He was predeceased by: his parents, Patsy Tate Young and Orivelle Franklin Young; his sister Lisa Gitgood; and his grandmother Ruby Lee Tate. He is survived by: his wife Whitney Young of Whitwell; his children, Ashlyn Hudson (Sam) of Dunlap, Natalie Young of Whitwell, Morgan Young of Dunlap and Holland Young of Dunlap; his grandchildren, Finnley Gibbons and Loralei Young; his siblings, Edward Gitgood, Sandy Gitgood and Amber Young; his sister-in-law Laci Dodson; his niece Blakelynn Dodson; and his pet Knox.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Christian Worship Center (208 E Spring St, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
