The passing of Evelyn Griffith (Whitwell, Tennessee) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 21, 2025 at the age of 85. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tom Griffith; her parent Hallie Griffith; her children, Brian "Pie" Griffith and Robin Golston; and her siblings, Jean Griffith, Jerry Griffith, Helen Davis, Dorothy Ables, Wilma Davis and Virginia Barber.
She is survived by: her brother Wayne Griffith (Toni); her grandchildren, Kristen Bain (Josh) and Jeremy Golston; her great grandchildren, Weston, Harper and Brooks Bain; and her son-in-law Scotty Golston (Cecil Baxter). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sulphur Springs Global Methodist Church (329 Sulphur Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397).
In lieu of donations or flowers, the family ask that all contributions be made to the Whitwell Schools Foundation or Sulphur Springs Global Methodist Church.
