He was predeceased by: his father Donnie Tharp; and his brother Kenneth "Bud" Tharp. He is survived by: his mother Lula Bell Tharp (Taylor); his children, Arinda Pickett (Roy) and Wade Tharp; his siblings, George Tharp (Paula), Karen Phillips (David), Mitzi Chandler (Clyde), Donna Meeks (Jake) and Christy Bankston (Eual); his grandson Seth Rankin; his close friend Albert Mears; and his pet Flip Flop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as several special friends.
