She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Griffith and Alice Griffith; her husband Don Layne; and her children, Jimmy Don "Fred" Layne and Rebecca Layne Slatton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna K. Kilgore and Jane Waters (Michael); her grandchildren, Michael "Pnut" Waters, Ashley Grayson, Nikki Fazioli, Shawn Kilgore, Ethan Slatton and Colton Slatton; her great grandchildren, Logan Grayson, Landon Grayson, Mason Waters and Lakota Slatton; and also Braxton Carter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
