He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Edward "Ed" Truette and Lillie Mai Johnson Truette; and his siblings, Alvin Truette, Ruby Truette and Judy Silvis.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Griggs Truette; his sons, James Truette (Stephanie) of Williamsport and Robert Truette of Williamsport; his sister Carolyn Morton; his grandsons, Cody Truette and Zack Truette; and his sister-in-law Kinez Yanone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
