He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Newton and Stella Hurd (Pierson); his wife Edna Montez Hurd; and his siblings, Herbert Hurd, Mary Barbieri and Infant Hurd.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Hurd, Robert Hurd, Regina Harrison (Tony) and Nathan DuVal. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Winchester Church of Christ.
