In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Floyd leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Floyd may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martin Simmons and Sally Ann Guess Simmons; and his wife Joyce Cardwell Simmons. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Simmons of Winchester; and his sisters, Marie Perry of Sherwood, Virginia Garner of Sherwood, Orvie Simmons Haney of Cowan and Tenn. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services (103 Peters Rd, Estill Springs, TN 37330). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
