She was predeceased by: her father John Nelson; her husband Arthur Staten, Sr.; her son William Staten (Andy); and her siblings, Mildred, Lyvonia, Alvider, William, Ardell, John and Tillman.
She is survived by: her children, Jennye Hill, Jeanelle Staten, Arthur "Fuzzy" Staten, Jr., Henry "Squeaky" Staten (Annette) and Reginald "Reggie" Staten (Lisa); her siblings, Charoline, Ela (John), Mary Ann, Lena, Yvonne and Edd (Valerie); and her godson Kenneth Staten (Bossman). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
