He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Kay Patty and Elaine Blair Patty; and his sisters, Malinda Newman and Nancy Ryan. He is survived by: his pet Hershey; his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Lanier Patty; his daughters, Shannon Patty Jobe (Dean) and Laura Blair Patty Brown (Ben); his grandchildren, Joseph Austin Jones (Nicole), Braeden Taylor Jobe and Micah Lanier Brown; and his sister Suzanne Maniscalco (Carl). He is also survived by five nieces, six nephews, four great-nieces, and five great-nephews.
