He was predeceased by: his father Charles Syler; and his wife Eula Clark Syler. He is survived by: his son Philip Syler (Geraldine) of Ft. Worth, Texas; and his grandchildren, Declan Syler (Ashley) of Durham and Bridgette Marie Syler of Ft. Worth, Texas. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
