He was predeceased by : his parents, Gilbert Brown and Dorothy Weddington (Duncan); his daughters, Jan Patton and Ann Payne; and his pets, Sunny and Smokie.

He is survived by : his wife Frances Weddington; his grandchildren, Amy Meaker (Chris), Jared Blair (Schelby) and Lee Patton (Jennifer); his stepson Alan Grant (Debbie); and his great great grandchild Sassy. He is also survived by three step grandchild; three step great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
