He was predeceased by : his parents, Emby King and Beatrice King of Winfield, Tennessee.; his wife Verna King (Litton); his siblings, Elmon, Estol King and Brenda Bosley; and his grandson Sean Waelde.

He is survived by : his daughters, Sharon Waelde (Michael) and Robin Durham (Larry); his grandchildren, Corey Durham, Christopher Brown and Dru Brown (Donna); and his sister Patricia Metcalfe (Joseph). He is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
