George Washington Pitts Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Washington Pitts of Woodbury, Tennessee, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Pitts and Effie Love Pitts; and his siblings, William H. Pitts, Charles Pitts, Jr., Margie Pitts Kowalski, Rachel Pitts Robinson and Betty Pitts Davenport.
He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Pitts (Alysia) of Woodbury and John Pitts (Ashley) of Rock Island; his grandchildren, Gunter, Hannah, Izzy, Isaac and Emmy; and his siblings, Martha Pitts Nowlan of Evart, MI., Robert Pitts (Beverly) of Woodbury and Rhonda Walker (Don) of Chattanooga.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Leoni Church of Christ.
