He was predeceased by: his wife Kimberly Smith Prater. He is survived by: his parents, David Prater and Pam Arnold Prater; his children, Justin Prater, Chris Warrick and Brittany Merriman; and his sister Angela Young (Rodney) of Woodbury. He is also survived by six grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to his lengthy illness the family requests memorial donations to assist with funeral expenses.
