He was predeceased by: his parents, Loris Leroy Studd and Madge Lorraine Fredrickson Waid; his son David Studd; his stepbrother Ed Gordon Waid; and his stepdaughter Lindsey Polzin.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bucknell Studd; his sons, Joshua, Nathanial Studd of Woodbury and Sean Studd (Sarah); his grandchildren, Jade, Brandon of Woodbury and Daniel Studd (Leah); his great grandchildren, Caleb and Laney of Beechgrove; his daughter Shannon Bush (Ryan); his granddaughters, Kylie, Emily of Readyville and Dawn Hart (George) of Poughkeepsie, NY; his stepdaughter Annie Snook of South Portland, ME; his stepgrandchildren, Drew, Jake and Chase; his brother Ryan Studd (Beverly) of Bethpage; his half-brother Gordon Waid; his stepbrothers, Paul Duwayne Waid (Becky) of Russell, PA and Bruce Waid of Kennedy, NY; his sisters, Laura Cox (Mike) of Decherd, Heidi Causey of Gillette, WY and Maralyn Fryberger (Peter) of Owen's Crossroads, AL; his stepsister Rosemary Olive Fannin (Steve); and his uncles, Warren and Marshall Studd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
