He is survived by : his wife Glenda Harrison Newman; his children, John Timothy Newman, Dean Thomas Newman and Tonya Newman; his sisters, Mattie Ann Sykes and Elizabeth Harris; and his son-in-law Earl Green. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
