He is survived by: his wife Kory Tate; his daughter Teresa Deason of Dyersburg; his siblings, Larry Tate (Judy) of Texas, Joyce Belt (Dennis) of Rives, Jan Johnson (Randall) of Trenton, Linda Wheat of Wynnburg and Betty Boyd of Ridgely; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Aidan, Emily Deason and Hailey Jackson.
