He is survived by: his children, Stan Sims (Malinda) and Stephanie Rodgers; his grandchildren, Chris Sims (Stephenie), Alex Sims, Seth Rodgers, Nate Rodgers and Weston Rodgers; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Everett Whitaker, Nora Jean Sims, Chasity Sims, Heath Sims, Harlee Sims and Lincoln Sims; and his brother-in-law Elwood Doss.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bethel Baptist Youth.
