She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pibil and Albina Pibil (Vybiral); her sister Linda Pibil; and her cousins, Jimmy Slovak and Mark Pibil.
She is survived by: her husband Edward "Jimmy" Makovy Jr.; her sister Shirley Blanchard (Jerry Dunn); her cousins, Beverly Pustejovsky (Tony) and Lisa Mynar (Joe); her sister-in-law Donna Hawkins (Jack); and her close friend Marilyn Hawkins (Kenneth). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel (808 S Reagan St, West, TX 76691). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (601 W Houston St, Abbott, TX 76621).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill County Paw Pals or the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott.
