He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gravens and Frances Gravens; his siblings, John Gravens and Mary Frances Pentecost; and his stepdaughters, Syliva Stock and Patricia Mendez.
He is survived by: his wife Elena; his adoptive daughter Melinda Madison (Doug); his stepdaughter Elaine Stirling (Adam); and his sister Lucille Herman. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
