He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil H. Stokes and Sallie Faye Stokes; his siblings, Linda, Brenda, Tim and Virgil; and his son Brad Denton Stokes.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughter Tammy Gorham (Patrick) of Graham; his brother John Stokes (Ernestine) of Weatherford; his grandchildren, Valerie Perry (Gabe) of Abilene, Zachary Wilkinson of Graham, Ethan Stokes and Addison Stokes; his great grandchild Oaklynn Perry; his daughter-in-law Sara Hubert of Fort Worth; and his pet Sissy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hodges Baptist Church.
