Charleen Ashby Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charleen Ashby of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charleen Ashby to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonie Amelia (Levrets) and Diedrich D. Waxler; her husband James William Ashby; her siblings, Dickie Ray Waxler and Leona Davis; and her great grandchild Wynrie McClendon.

She is survived by: her children, Mac Ashby (Barbara) of Snyder, Cova Perrien (Scott) of Elwell, Sheryl McClendon (Roy) of Abilene and Carla Meadows (James) of Merkel; and her close friends, Nora Tinney, Janice Richards, Malcolm Loving, Steve Chapman and Carol Rouse. She is also survived by Twelve grandchildren and Twenty three great-grandchildren.
