Charles Robert Heard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Robert Heard of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubbard Frances and Lena Ellen Heard; his siblings, Mildred Wooten and Jimmy Heard (Linda Kay Heard); and his grandson Regan Hearn.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Hearn; his son Benton Church of Christ; his brother Joe Heard; and his grandchildren, Chris, Rene Heard, Nathan, Sarah Heard (Anderson), Nicholas Heard, Phil Hearn, Zachary Hearn, Robin Brooks Hearn, Amelia, Jeff Emery, Mary Hannah Emery, Bea Emery, Eleanor Emery and Sandra Thornhill.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the North's Funeral Home (242 Orange St, Abilene, TX 79601). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Minter Lane Church of Christ (2502 Minter Ln, Abilene, TX 79603). A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bear Springs Cemetery.
