David Canon Obituary

We bid farewell to David Canon of Abilene, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 6, 2025 at the age of 96. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Hazle Browning and Thaddeus Relvy Canon; his sister Shirley Claire Canon Goff (Dean Goff); his grandparents, Hazle (Dearie) and William Browning; and his wife Carolyn Ann Riser.

He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Nottingham of Abilene and Karen Light (Joey) of Abilene; and his grandchildren, Blaine Thompson (Taylor) of Boise, ID, Kyle Thompson of Houston, Tristan Nottingham of Tucson, AZ, Cheyenne Nottingham of Detroit, MI, Jordan Light (Jen) of Quanah, Cameron Plourde (Ryan) of Rapid City, SD, Josh Light (Kate) of Houston, Christian Silva (Vinicius) of Lake Mary, FL, Josiah Light (Katie Jo) of Bryan and Terry Light of Abilene, TX. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
