He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Earl Demmitt and Alma Maurine Painter; and his siblings, Jo Ellen, Linda and Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Judi Demmitt of Abilene; and his children, Brian Demmitt and Jennifer Brannon. He is also survived by two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
