She was predeceased by: her husband Dwain Smith; her parents, Paul Stolzenburg and Vesta Stolzenburg; her son Dale Lynn; and her siblings, Eldon Stolzenburg and Marcheta Hiner of Kansas.
She is survived by: her children, Dallas Tieking of Herford, Texas, Danna Pennington of Abilene and Darin Barnes of Muncie; and her sisters, Doris McCall of Kansas and Lois Shotwell of Kansas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
