She was predeceased by: her parents, Thornton Wyatt, Jr. and Mina Mae Copeland Wyatt; her sister Annie Fae Walls (Betty Brumley); and her sons, Sam Houston Thomas and Claude Vernon Thomas, Jr..
She is survived by: her spouse Claude "Doc" Vernon Thomas; and her daughters, Verna Calhoun, Belva Cleveland and Glenda Washburn. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
