He was predeceased by: his parents, Ventura Leija and Lilly Ornelas Leija; his wife Isabel Leija; his son Richard Leija; and his sons-in-law, Terry Allen and William Hules.
He is survived by: his children, David Leija (Sylvia), Andy Leija (Shannon), Connie De Los Santos (Hector), Gloria Bell (Kyle), Christina Deleon (Paul) and Melissa Honea (Cody); his girlfriend Adela Moreno; and his siblings, Albert Leija, Benito Leija, Sally Alsides, Lena Leija and Erlinda Rocha. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
