It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendoln J. Evans-Colbert (Abilene, Texas), who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Jordan Jr. and Katherine Golden; her daughter Linda Hopkins; and her grandchildren, Robert D'Wayne Williams and Tasha Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Dock Colbert; and her children, Joe Hughes, Rogenger Pierre (Leedy), Guinevere Evans, Bonnie Evans, Jovita Turner and Shannon Evans. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
