It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Hackney of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Ewing and Pearl McCoy Ewing; her husband Roger Gene Hackney; and her siblings, Elzie Ewing, Archie Ewing, Riley Ewing and Shirley Roberson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hackney of Center Point and Deborah Benge (Brad) of Flynn, Texas; her grandsons, Jacob McLain of Sisterdale, Jared Benge of Monahans and Clay Benge of Odessa, Texas; and her siblings, Fern Baird of Houston, Texas and Carrol Ewing of Coleman, Texas.. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
