He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Thornton and Flora Thornton; his wife Frances Thornton; and his nephew Dennis Hines. He is survived by: his son Randall Dean Thornton; his sisters, Florene Hines and Sharron Gonzales; his niece Sheila Gonzales; and his nephew David Gonzales.
