With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James South of Abilene, Texas, born in Baird, Texas, who passed away on March 16, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlene South and Dan South (Dan). He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, John Christian (Stephanie) of Havre, James Daniel Lacey (Julie) of Abilene and Jay Patrick (Candice) of Clyde; his grandchildren, Sutton of Austin, Alexa (Isaiah Cortez) of Clyde, Conner of Havre, Jackson, Avery and Jacob of Clyde; his sisters, Dana Pope (David) of San Marcos and Deb Smith of Abilene; his nieces, Andrea Clement (T. J.) of San Marcos and Suzanne Smith of Abilene; his nephew Scott Pope of San Marcos; and his great-nephews, Drew and Marcus Gonzales of San Marcos.
