It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Young of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Young and Shasta Young. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Young; his children, Zacha Young and Mason Young; and his sister Diane Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamil Family Funeral Home (6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Beltway Park Church (4009 Beltway S, Abilene, TX 79606). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Iberis Cemetery.
