He was predeceased by: his father Jesus F. Vera; his half-brother Samuel Cisneros; and his mother-in-law Rita F. Jimenez. He is survived by: his wife Monica Jimenez Vera; his children, Lora Vera, Nora Vera Rodriguez (Eusebio), Anthony Jimenez (Amanda), Jesus I. Vera Jr. and Rosa Vera; his grandchildren, Jazzlynn Rodriguez, Jennafer Rodriguez, Delia Jimenez, Adylyne Espinoza and Daniel Jimenez; his sister Linda Vera; his nephew Ray Vera; Yolanda Barrera. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, fifteen nieces and nephews and thirty-seven great nieces and nephews.
