He was predeceased by: his parents, Knox Bartee and Vera Bartee; his wife Mary Lawanda Russell of Pampa; and his brother Kyle (Mary). He is survived by: his son Klay (Lisa Jo) of Searcy, Arkansas.; his grandchildren, Kris Bartee (Brooke), Kasey Bartee Owens (Matt) and Kallie Bartee (Lyndsey Womack); his great grandchildren, Keaghlan, Konner, Kori Bartee, Jack and Eleanor Owens; his sister-in-law Marilyn Bartee (Kyle); his nephews, Barry Bartee (Lisa Ann) and Chad Bartee (Brandy); his great-nephew Brandon Bartee (Myndee); his great-niece Blair Isham (Cade); Quinn, Allie, Andie, Case Isham, Brooks, Henry, Blake, Annie Bartee and Pat Stafford of Clovis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery of Abilene (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
