He was predeceased by: his siblings, Nancy Stephens, Katherine Beasley, Wilton Brown, Edward Brown and Roddie Brown; and his daughter Kathy Caston.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Brown; his children, Yvette Loud and Theron Brown; his siblings, Lizzie Brown, Delores Barbour, Pinkie Mitchell, Kattie Cephus, Ida Brown and James E. Brown, Jr.; and his grandsons, David Brown (Jennifer) and Paris Brown. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the King Solomon Baptist Church (1050 Minda St, Abilene, TX 79602).
